Stop Watching the Show – Manifest a Vision of Truth

‘The show must go on’ as they say in the theatre. And indeed, so it would appear. Only this particular show seems to have no beginning or end. The curtain never comes down; there isn’t even an interval in which to draw breath and stretch one’s legs.

It’s a 24/7 bonanza, and the cost of a seat is almost certain to put you out of pocket. In spite of which, the auditorium is full of expectant faces staring up at the unfolding scenes and drinking in the drama being staged for their consumption.

So few actors, so many spectators. Yet the actors hold the attention and the spectators soon forget that they are in a theatre and have paid for their seats. (more…)

Occupy Warsaw! Polish Farmers Create Clandestine City Camp

Something rather remarkable is happening in the middle of Poland’s capital, Warsaw, and it’s not exactly a capital city spectacle. In fact, rather the opposite.
Tucked-away under a line of trees, opposite the Prime Minister’s Palace in Central Warsaw, is a small ramshackle camp, comprising two tents, a Second World War wood fired mobile cooking apparatus, some chairs and benches, a pile of logs and a number of banners, posters and logos.
This is ‘Green City’ a symbolic and actual site of occupation by farmers fighting to save their livelihood and way of life. At the time of writing, it is in its 28th day of existence – and it isn’t planning on going anywhere, in spite of the fact that it is illegal and suffering under a daily fine imposed by the Polish government. A fine which is, in many ways, a small replication of what is happening on a much bigger scale to farming communities throughout the European Economic Community and beyond. (more…)

The Appointment With Infinity

Part 2 of ‘The Active Side of Infinity’

The writings of Carlos Castaneda: commentary by Julian Rose

“The practicalities that scientists are interested in are conducive to building more and more machines. They are not geared to reaching the vastness of the universe as a personal, experiential affair.”

“Someday I’ll tell you more about the forces that drive man to act like an ass. Some of us make sense when we talk because we are prepared to use words accurately. But most of us are not prepared to take ourselves seriously as men who are going to die.
Being immortal, we wouldn’t know how to do that. It makes no difference what complex machines scientists can build. The machines can in no way help anyone face the unavoidable appointment: the appointment with infinity.” (more…)

Why Humanity Must Come Through

Need I say it, we are living in – and through – an apocalyptic time. Disintegration and destruction manifest at an accelerating pace as our World is buffeted by a jumbled combination of opposing energies: the distorted man made toxic ones as well as the universal vibratory waves that are an integral part of great cosmic changes.

Nothing we have experienced up until now quite compares with this. There is little that could prepare us for our journey through this collision of forces, aside from an emerging awareness that they are both external and internal manifestations. Manifestations of human and universal energies seeking to redefine and rebalance their shared essence. (more…)

Echo of the Primitive

Between them, the upward aspiration of the Spirit and the pull of the Earth exert the two most fundamental influences on our lives. Strip away all the parifinalia of modern life and the raw energies of these two forces take hold of us, opening up our latent powers.

What might appear to be two opposing forces turn out to be complementary dynamics sharing one original source.

To find our true equilibrium – it is necessary to get creative with these two dynamics. Let them speak to us, through us, so that we are re-imbued with the power that we have allowed to be stolen from us through centuries of denial. Denial, both by us and by those who set the trap which so great a portion of human-kind has walked into. (more…)

Constructing the New Society

‘Eight Steps’

We who engage in postulating solutions to the dominant issues of this time, use much energy speculating on unknown outcomes. But how much energy do we use in laying the ground for a future of our own making?

How much time do we give to devising the template for the new society we must create?

To bring a dream into reality is hard work; it’s a lifetime’s work at the very least. Yet many hold back from ever embarking – rationalising that such a quest is a futile exercise that will surely be swamped by a reactionary and repressive status quo.

Somehow, this failure to embark on the single most important mission of our lives, characterises a great swath of sleepwalking humanity. But not only, also a significant percentage of supposed ‘spiritual aspirants’ who confuse the azure bubble in which they live with the stark reality of the new world which needs to be chiselled and honed into existence.

Quit the Matrix – Build the Ark – In Three Steps

Once one has got a reasonable handle on ‘what’s wrong’ the next step involves putting into place something ‘that feels right’.

Not so easy. But essential of course – and in many respects a natural process of follow-through without which, knowing ‘what’s wrong’ gradually fades away. Until there are three sharp knocks on the front door – and then its too late.

The way we progress our conscious awareness is by bringing together, or becoming in some way part of, a group of individuals who wish to share together the experience of putting into place a manner of daily existence which fulfils our creative aspirations and practical needs. Both. If we can’t do that we can’t be fully human. And not being fully human means never realizing who we really are. (more…)

He Who Isn’t Busy Being Born…

You know the expression “Rightful indignation”? Well that’s a fire which we must not put out. “Rightful anger” is a direct extension of rightful indignation. It is a burning sensation in the chest and heart and it is a fire which we must not put out.

You know how it is. It wells up in us when we are witness to some criminal injustice being perpetrated upon some innocent being, animal or element of nature; or some political hypocrisy. It propels us forward. It elicits a rise in adrenalin, and it is the first step to just about all important actions we take in our lives – to ameliorate our planet and its people from suffering and slavery. Or, it is done in defence of something or someone we feel very close to. Our loved ones, our garden, our small space of sanctuary.
